5 Jewelry Misconceptions You've Believed for Too Long

    1. Mixing metals is unforgivable

One of the ancient old stereotypes that we have to get into the groove of breaking is that mixing silver and gold jewelry is a mistake. Snap out of it. Mixing metals is definitely trendy when done correctly and allows you to play with a wider variety of statement jewelry! Combine our affordable Alchemia and Sterling Silver adjustable rings for a bohemian polished look.

    2. You can't wear more than one stone at a time

Ladies, listen up. Although it can be hard to understand the difference between going overboard and still being fearlessly fashionable, it is possible to land right in the middle. Keep this one rule in mind and you'll be golden: Three stones are fine. More than that, you're out of line. For example, because our Biwa Pearl is white, it pairs perfectly with other stones. This Sterling Silver pendant works well for adding a touch of flair to your outfit.

    3. There is no such thing as too much

We love a statement necklace or a gold cuff as much as the next girl, but wearing five turquoise pendants with zebra jasper earrings and a bunch of shark tooth cuffs won't leave you standing out in a good way. Coco Chanel once said, "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." If you're the girl that's doing too much, you may need to take about ten things off.

    4. There is no such thing as too little

Yes, it is trendy to be minimal in your fashion choices nowadays. Although it's chic to solely sport a gold chain or a Cartier love bracelet, we strongly suggest spicing things up once in a while. Throw on three or four Sterling Silver stackable rings or rock a statement agate slice cuff. This can add such a stylish touch to a simple outfit.

    5. Matchy-matchy is the way to go

The fifth and final mistake. If you're not adding color to your wardrobe, you're definitely missing out. Even if your favorite color is black, find a way to incorporate a pop of a brighter color. Wearing two complementary colors at once is also a great way to stand out and be fashionable. Try our Alchemia Multi-gemstone earrings for a refreshing splash of tones.

Please help! I purchased the beautiful mermaid bracelet and shells statement piece on last weeks vacation in the Keys. Unfortunately the toggle will not work with the links, so there is no way to close the bracelet. Please, any suggestions? I couldn’t leave for home without it, so I purchased it in a hurry to match the mermaid pendant necklace I bought earlier. Might there be some type of large gold tone clasp that would hook them together and I wouldn’t mind leaving the toggle just hanging??? The set is breathtaking, I am just anxious to wear it! Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
